Pricing
ORFoodEx charges based on a per minute fee for fulfillment with flat rates for dry, refrigerated, or frozen products. We have three pricing schedules, one for outgoing deliveries of product to customers, one for incoming products to our system for storage or later distribution and one for expedite orders (pick up from point A, deliver to point B). Travel times are defined by third party estimates in advance. Actual traffic and weather conditions at the time of delivery will not affect the price. As an example, enter start and end points into Google Maps, add 20 minutes for dock times then multiply by the flat rate. Actual pricing may vary from this estimate, as we use a truck routing system for billing rather than Google Maps.
Outgoing to Buyer Rates
All deliveries are priced from the closest ORFoodEx depot to the buyer. Partial pallet deliveries will only be made from one of our facilities.
- Deliveries are billed from our facilities to the destination by fraction of pallet. 5% of pallet = 5% of flat rate per minute. 3 pallets = 300% of flat rate per minute.
- Include 20 minutes of dock time for the first pallet, 10 minutes for each additional pallet.
- For all orders there is a 1 case minimum.
- For all deliveries there is a $1 per case minimum delivery charge.
- For all orders there is a $20 minimum delivery charge for orders beyond a 200 mile radius of our nearest depot.
Incoming Rates
- The number of pallets being moved is rounded up. For example 5 cases taking up 20% of a pallet will be billed as 1 pallet.
- For pick up, the second pallet is free. Three pallets would bill at 200% of the flat rate, four pallets at 300% of the rate, etc.
- For pick up, dock time is billed for the pick up location. No dock time is billed for receiving the product to our depot.
- For drop off to a depot, receiving time is billed.
Expedite Rates
- Expedite orders are billed per pallet, rounded up.
- Dock time is billed at both the pick up and drop off locations.
ORFoodEx defines a pallet as 48" x 40" not to exceed 1800 lbs or 48" in height. We will accept overheight (up to 72") and overweight (up to 2700 lbs) pallets, but will calculate billing based on our pallet definition.
Storage
We offer storage facilities for all your needs: dry, cold or frozen. We’ll work with you to tailor a program designed to meet your needs.
Producer goods picked-up or received for storage prior to the 15th of each month will be billed for the whole month whereas goods received after the 15th of the month will be billed for half the monthly charge. Storage is billed per pallet slot.
